I managed to find a 4 speed setup for my K5 and It came with the rest of the truck :D
possibly has a 355 or a 357 in it also, not bad for 800 bucks. Will be a parts truck for my dads 86 K5 and my 78 K5

I feel like I need to buy a POS K5 one day just so I can thrash on it. They just seem so unapologetic about how awesome they are.

What transmission is in that thing? I didn't know GM made a manual for those trucks.

Awesome, everything rusts here so fast, it's hard to find sweet parts vehicles.

I had a 1989 GMC V1500 Jimmy. It was an ex-Ministry of the Environment government truck that they used to for more difficult terrain. It was fitted with the SM465 4-speed manual mated to the 350TBI and boy was it a stump puller. The tranny actually went L-1-2-3, not 1-2-3-4, as first gear in these boxes was a 6.55:1 ratio so was absolutely unusable in daily driving. That 6.55 first gear combined with 4-low on the T-case made for a devastating crawl considering this was a factory set-up. I recall people calling it a "granny-box"... Here's a pic of it...
